Maryland Legal Aid Launches New Pro Bono Program

Maryland Legal Aid has launched a new pro bono program to place a wide variety of civil legal cases with pro bono counsel on behalf of individuals who are within 125% of the Federal poverty limit.

The program provides a new website at at, where private attorneys can search for the types of cases they might be interested in handling on a pro bono basis and allows them to sign up to take a case. Private attorneys who sign up for cases through Legal Aid can expect mentorship, malpractice coverage for any cases handled through the program, training, and networking.
