The Anne Arundel Bar Association invites you to join us for Bar Weekend 2019, an opportunity to take some time for yourself, rejuvenate your passion, and connect with your fellow bar members. Spend a weekend with the AABA in the lively city of Philadelphia, where we will enjoy delicious food and drink, historical treasures, renowned art collections, family fun and more. We have planned an education program that combines timely legal topics with a focus on mindfulness and emotional intelligence.

About the Logan Hotel

Our Bar Weekend events will take place at the sophisticated Logan Hotel, overlooking some of Philly’s most notable attractions: The Franklin Institute, the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, the Barnes Foundation, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Countless other attractions are within two miles of the hotel, including Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, Reading Terminal Market and the Philadelphia Flower Show at the Convention Center. 

The Logan is a gallery in itself, with more than 100 Philadelphia-inspired paintings and statues on display. The hotel features one of the top-rated spas in the city, an indoor pool and a health club.

You can dine at Urban Farmer, the hotel's farm-to-table steakhouse or enjoy small plates and drinks at Assembly Rooftop, which offers indoor and outdoor seating with breathtaking panoramic views spanning from the Benjamin Franklin Parkway to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Room Reservations

Our special conference room rate will be $209/night for a single or double room. To reserve your room, call (844) 634-3605. You must reserve your room by January 25, 2019. Mention that you are with the Anne Arundel Bar Association in order to get the discounted room rate.

We recommend that you make your room reservations immediately, as we expect a high demand. 

Dining in Philadelphia

Be sure to make a dinner reservation for Friday evening at Urban Farmer in the hotel, or at one of Philadelphia's many amazing restaurants. Here are a few suggestions near the hotel:

Our profession has lost an increasing number of casualties to burnout, depression, and fatigue.  Too many of us have lost the purpose and excitement our careers used to have.  The good news is that this passion can be re-ignited and our energy rekindled.  Mr. Christin---a former trial lawyer who is a recovered alcoholic and now an addictions clinician working exclusively with lawyers---will provide you with tangible and simple strategies to balance your career in a healthier manner while achieving both well-being and joy.
