On behalf of the Board of Trustees, thank you for your interest in membership with the Anne Arundel Bar Association (AABA). Becoming an AABA member is a great way to meet people and get involved in the local legal community. As a professional society with a membership of over 900 attorneys, the AABA provides many services to our new lawyer members, including a Lawyer Referral Service, a program that makes 150 referrals each month to participating attorneys, generating 1,800 referrals per year. AABA members also receive an annual pictorial membership directory and The Barrister, our monthly newsletter packed full of information that will help you in the daily practice of law. Throughout the year we offer continuing legal education, networking and service opportunities for our members through our many committees, including, Family Law, Criminal Law and Estate Planning. Of course we have to mention two of the most revered benefits, our annual crab feast, which is attended by half the membership and is free to all members and our lawyers' softball league, another tradition which involves a very large representation of our members in friendly competition on Thursday nights throughout the summer.
