AABA President Steve Wrobel plans to focus attention on strengthening the connections between our legal community and the military community. In keeping with this theme, the Barrister’s Ball program will recognize AABA members and their family members who have served in our nation’s military. We hope to share photos and stories from their service at this event. If you or your family members have served, please let us know by completing this online survey.
Silent Auction Will Benefit Charities That Support Veterans
Warrior Canine Connection is a Maryland-based charity that enlists recovering Warriors in a therapeutic mission of learning to train service dogs for their fellow veterans. www.warriorcanineconnection.org
Warrior Events enriches the lives of those wounded while serving and their family members by hosting monthly events to show appreciation for their immense sacrifices. www.warriorevents.net
In addition, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Anne Arundel County Veterans’ Court Docket, modeled after similar courts across the nation that deliver innovative solutions for veterans involved in the criminal justice system due to substance use and/or mental health disorders and trauma. Representatives of all the beneficiaries will be present at the event.
The IRS has approved the Bar Foundation as a 501(c)(3) organization, and therefore is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions.
