First of all, thank you for stopping by the website of the Anne Arundel County Bar Association. Whether you are here because you are a member of our association, someone looking for an attorney in our geographic area located on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, or just someone who landed on us by mistake - welcome.

The Anne ArundelBar Association has two primary focuses - service to our members, and service to the community. For our member attorneys, we offer a number of Continuing Legal Education seminars, dinner meetings, our annual Crab Feast and golf outing, annual membership directory, monthly newsletter The Barrister, new lawyer orientation programs and a great deal more. We also offer attorneys the opportunity to get involved in committees dealing with everything from legislative issues, to practice concerns of the family law practitioner, to the national celebration of Law Day each May 1st. These committees work behind the scenes to help improve the legal community in our county.

Service to our community is an ever-important and ever-growing aspect of what our association is and does. The major focus is on access to justice, be it through information, referrals or direct representation. Each Fall, our association raises funds from member contributions to provide back-to-school backpacks for disadvantaged schoolchildren and Thanksgiving dinners with all of the trimmings to impoverished families throughout Anne Arundel County.

When it comes to finding the right attorney to help with a legal matter, our association can assist through the Lawyer Referral Service which matches clients with attorneys in almost all subject areas.

I hope we have presented the information clearly and in a format usable to anyone who visits our home page.
